About Us

Dodie and Larry Kenney and Nancy and Joe SpradlinDodie Kenney and Nancy Spradlin started Teapots and Treasures after they discovered they both enjoyed going to moving sales and estate sales and they both had a love of antiques and helping people. They put their knowledge of antiques and resale to good use and with the support of their spouses, began Teapots and Treasures. Dodie and Nancy also saw an opportunity to help the community with the many charities they were involved with already.  They had found their passion.

"Teapots and Treasures is here to provide a service to Villagers, both sellers and buyers. Sellers may be located in the Village or outside Hot Springs Village and Arkansas.  We are glad to offer an estate and moving sale service which includes cleaning out Mom & Dad's house without children or other relatives having to take off a month of work.  Teapots and Treasures advises these families to take what they want and leave the rest to us.  What you might throw away, we might be able to sell for you.  Then we give the buyers an opportunity to acquire good, usable items at a discounted price."

Teapot and Treasures, the familyTheir husbands, Larry Kenney and Joe Spradlin brought with them their own particular skills.  Larry became the accountant and antique expert and Joe utilizes his organizational skills in pre-sale setup.  June Whitney joined and is a wonderful and knowledgeable sales assistant. The family grew larger and the services they offered became more refined.  James Inwood, Joseph Inwood, Mackenzie Pierce, Annabell Pierce and John Pratt joined to help with the sales.  Click here to see a short slide show of the crew.

Teapots and Treasures is also proud to offer two additional services, consignment and purchasing of estates for those who's time table doesn't allow them to wait for the sale.

Teapots and Treasures offers a unique service to local and out-of-state sellers. They recycle whenever possible and the Charities they support and encourage you to support are:

  • Village Loan Closet (walkers, canes, wheel chairs, etc.)
  • Animal Shelter (old rags, clothes, blankets, etc.)
  • Lions Club (eye glasses)
  • Rotary International
  • Potters Clay (household items and clothing)
  • Jackson House (household items, furniture and clothing)
  • Disabilities Unlimited
We welcome all your comments and input.  And if you have favorite charity we can help, please email us and we'll see what we can do on one of our upcoming estate sales.

Thank you,
Teapots and Treasures
